Daiquiris are great Cuban cocktails and can be made of almost anything as long as they have tropical fruit, ice and of course, rum – the most classic Cuban daiquiri is probably just made with fresh lime juice, raw sugar, rum and ice, but when blenders came along in the 1920s they began making frozen daiquiris – thick, slow, cold and yummy! Our favourite at Cubana is a Fresh Frozen Strawberry Daiquiri – this recipe will keep two people very happy….

Note: Ideally use a small bar blender or smoothie maker which is strong enough to blend ice – to make two daiquiris.
